Signing up for a Puyallup Public Library Card

There are two ways to access Puyallup Public Library resources. Both are outlined in detail just below. Follow these step-by-step instructions to easily sign up for a Puyallup Public Library card!

Signing Up for a Library Card Online

By signing up for a Puyallup Public Library card online, you will have limited access to Library resources. You will be able to use the Library's online resources such as eBooks and databases, but you will not be able to check out books without activating your account in person at the Puyallup Public Library. After you submit the online form linked below, you will need to call (253-841-5454) or email (puylib@puyallupwa.gov) the Puyallup Public Library in order to be able to access e-resources. Click the link below, then click "I DO NOT HAVE A CARD" to access the online application for a Puyallup Public Library eCard:

The application asks you to provide:

  • Your full name
  • Your address (to verify you are within the area served by the Puyallup Public Library)
  • Your Washington Driver License or ID number
  • A 4-digit PIN of your choice that you will use to access your account
  • Your email (optional)
  • Your phone number (optional)

Signing Up for a Physical Library Card

Visit the Puyallup Public Library at 324 South Meridian and tell a librarian you'd like to sign up for a library card. You will need to bring a photo ID with your name and address. If you recently moved to Puyallup and your current photo ID does not reflect an address in Puyallup, bring another document (such as a piece of mail addressed to you at a Puyallup address) with you when you go to sing up.
