Hello, English 102 students!
For your first paper, which is focused on a nonprofit organization, you will be doing research on a particular social justice issue.
Your research/argument paper assignment will require you to "engage in the questioning process" in order to identify -- and understand -- multiple issues or points of argument related to a social justice issue.
Engaging in the questioning process also means engaging in the research process, because you'll need to read broadly about your controversial topic in order to tease out the issues that people care strongly about -- and disagree about.
This guide is meant to help you navigate some of the TCC Library resources where you can find sources like newspaper articles, magazine articles, and scholarly journal articles. Using these sources will help you develop a well-rounded understanding of your topic.
