Who's this guide for?

This guide was designed primarily for faculty teaching Written Communications, Communication Studies, and Transitional Studies, courses, as well as Humanities. This guide may also be useful for faculty in other disciplines who include writing assignments in their courses.

This OER subject guide serves as a starting point for potential OER and freely available sources for writing and written communications, including:

  • Grammar
  • Resources for ESL and multilingual students
  • Writing in specific disciplines

‚ÄčThis guide includes OER in a variety of formats, including textbooks, courses, readers, supplemental/ancillary materials, interactive games, videos, activities, and more!

In general, the TCC OER subject guides have been created to compile potential OER for different courses or subject areas. These guides are primarily developed by Jennifer Snoek-Brown, the OER Librarian, with input from liaison librarian(s) and discipline faculty.
