Since Gale eBooks is a database of "quick look up" or reference resources, you can expect to find extensive general background information about topics. Think about the general topic you would like to research, and keep your search terms simple. Here is an example of a search that a student might do when researching a paper on the transition from silent movies to "talkies", and how movie music changed as a result.
This student is just beginning their research so has decided to find out what they can about music in film in general with the following search.
You can "Browse Collections" in the Arts, and search within each of these publications separately, though generally we would recommend that you simply perform a general search as demonstrated above.
