Faculty/staff guide to Open Educational Resources (OER): OER development stipends - NEW!

This guide is designed to help TCC faculty and staff find, create, evaluate, and incorporate open educational resources for instructional and training purposes.

Learning Innovation Course Development Funding

I want to know... how to be compensated for OER course development and/or projects.

In Fall 2021, the Library & Learning Innovation division launched a revised Learning Innovation Course Development Funding and Support program. This program provides intensive development support and stipend funding for faculty who are developing new online or hybrid courses or making significant revisions to existing courses.

What types of OER projects are eligible for funding?

  • Incorporating Open Educational Resources (OER) into a new or existing online/hybrid course
  • Adapting an OER textbook to be more accessible and available in multiple formats
  • Adapting an OER textbook or course materials to be more culturally responsive
  • Creating or revising your own OER textbook, lab manual, and/or workbook
  • Creating or revising your own OER ancillary materials, such as quiz questions, videos, and/or problem sets
  • Creating an Open Pedagogy course or project
  • And more, so let's talk!

Is there a deadline to apply for funding?

Learning Innovation takes applications for development funding and support on a rolling basis.

How do I learn more info and apply for funding?
