Images must be cited like all other resources! If you use an image you did not create, you must provide a citation. The citation should be accessible in the context of the image's use (within a PowerPoint presentation, on a Web page, in a paper, etc.).
To cite ARTstor images, click on the information (i) icon below the image to find the artist's name, title of artwork, date of creation, and repository.
In this class you are to use Chicago style citations. In Chicago style, images can be cited using captions or using footnotes/endnotes with a corresponding bibliography entry. Check with your instructor for her preference.
