    (ProQuest) Thousands of full-text journals, key business and economics periodicals, industry-focused reports, and major news sources.
  • Business Insights (Gale)
    International business intelligence, industry profiles, SWOT analyses, market share reports, financial reports, company histories, industry essays, case studies, scholarly journals, and business news.
  • Business Source Complete
    (Ebsco) Articles from academic journals, magazines, and trade publications, as well as current company, industry and region reports.
  • Gartner
    Outstanding resource for researching IT in business. Gartner reports provide forecasts for companies, industries, and specific technologies. (You will need to log in with your TCC email and your Portal password.)
  • Nexis Uni
    More than 15,000 news, legal, and business sources. Business information on more than 80 million U.S. and international companies and more than 75 million executives.
  • ProQuest Periodical Databases Multi-discipline
    Multiple periodical databases providing coverage of a wide range of topics, with a mix of popular and scholarly sources. Particularly good for current events.
  • Regional Business News
    (Ebsco) Full-text for nearly 100 regional U.S. and Canadian business publications
  • Small Business Reference Center
    Articles from many top consumer small business reference books, as well as tools to address many small business topics.

Writing

Business is usually practiced as a Social Science. However, people within the Business world have their own expectations when they read. These expectations include:

  • Saving the reader's time. Business people prefer short analysis because they value their own time.
  • Showing the reader that the issue is timely and relevant. It is important to remind the reader, often, how the topic is relevant and how it will help the reader right away.
