What is the Bluebook?

What is the Bluebook?

This book is a guide for law students and law professionals to cite their sources in a uniform manner. By using general citation standards, the writer allows the reader to easily locate materials. You can find a copy of the Bluebook in the reference section of the library. If you need more guidance on how to use the Bluebook, the University of Illinois has an excellent guide:

Creating citations using KeyCite in Westlaw

Once you log in to the Westlaw database, click on either the "Westlaw" tab or the "Washington" tab. On the left hand side of the screen, you will see a link to KeyCite.
