Many of the literary resources available in the TCC Library -- including e-books and articles available via library databases -- include literary criticism.
Literary criticism, or literary analysis, is an approach that critically examines literature in order to create a better understanding of the writer, genre, themes, etc. That examination can focus on one or more elements: writing style (plot, characterizations, use of metaphor, etc.), themes, biographical connections, and the influence of events or social/political conditions.
