You will need to find a good quality image of your painting. The first place to look is in JSTOR, a TCC Library research database.
If an image of your painting is not available in JSTOR, you can search online, by focusing on museums and educational institutions. The way to do this search in a Google search box is this: name of your painting site:edu (site:edu is the Google search trick that limits your results to only educational institutions.)
An additional way to search using a Google search bar is this: name of your painting site:org
Please be aware that there could be variations on the spelling of words in the title of your painting.
Images must be cited like all other resources! If you use an image you did not create, you must provide a citation. The citation should be accessible in the context of the image's use (within a PowerPoint presentation, on a Web page, in a paper, etc.).
To cite ARTstor images, click on the information (i) icon below the image to find the artist's name, title of artwork, date of creation, and repository.
In this class you are to use Chicago style citations. In Chicago style, images can be cited using captions or using footnotes/endnotes with a corresponding bibliography entry. Check with your instructor for her preference.
