Web-based word processors are online applications that allow you to create word documents in web spaces. Not only can you create work of your own, web-based word processors also allow for collaboration between multiple people in one document, making them a great space to do group work that allows for flexibility of time and place. The resources on this page will explain how to use two of the most-used web-based word processors: Google Docs and Microsoft Word.*
*Note: Microsoft word also has a non-web-based application (this is the Word you access from the desktop of your computer), which does not have live collaborative capabilities. Make sure to create a web-based document to be able to share and collaborate.
