Computer use inside the library

Currently, there are 10 computers in the library for research, document production, and other college-related activity, accessed by reservation only for up to 2-hours at a time.

To use a computer, you must first reserve by emailling or calling during the library's open hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00am-5:00pm (i.e. no walk-up computer use will be allowed).

  • Students can enter through the front doors of the Library and check in with the staff member at the front door
  • Students can reserve up to a 2-hour block per day.
  • Staff will be cleaning computer spaces between each use.

  • Two computers are equipped with adaptive aids for the visually impaired.
  • Please see TCC Acceptable Use Policy (linked below) to ensure compliance.
Additional requirements:
  1. Everyone who has made a reservation for computer use are required to first go to Building 14 for a health screening and a wristband before they come to the Library.
  2. Everyone must complete the online health screening before you arrive onto campus, as described on the TCC Health Check page.
  3. Children are not permitted to accompany their parents for computer use. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Other equipment
  • All computers connect to printers and printing can be done in black and white or color.
  • Headphones are available for checkout at the Front Desk.

A wireless network is available in the library and on campus. All laptops and wireless devices can be connected to the network. Wireless printing works for some devices. If you have problems connecting to the wireless network please contact library staff.

Summer 2021: Printing and photocopying

  • All computers in the library are connected to two black and white printers and one color printer.
  • The cost is 10 cents per page (15 cents for double-sided) for black and white; 45 cents per page (75 cents for double-sided) for color.
  • All funds are linked to your student account.
  • Credit cards are not accepted, only cash and silver change can be added with the Add Value Machine in the library (pennies are not accepted).
  • Funds can be added to your printing account at the Cashier’s Office in Building 14. The Office encourages bringing cash, checks, or money orders for the most stream-lined process. Adding funds to your account using a card is a complicated process and not applicable to all students (such as those who have fees on their account), therefore, again, cash, check, or money order are the easiest options.
  • A Student ID card is required to make photocopies (black and white as well as color), as the copy machine will not be able to access your account and log you in without the physical card.
  • Wireless printing is available for non-Mac computers. Use the link below to download the print drivers needed to send your documents to the printers.
