This guide is specifically for your project where you are research a current issue or problem in your community. This guide is to assist you in this project by offering guidance regarding:

  • Reference sources and their uses;
  • How to develop and use a collection of key search terms
  • How to access and use a selection of databases to access:
    • newspaper, magazine, and scholarly journal articles;
    • books; and film
  • How to search the "free" Web to find reliable information from specific types of Websites
  • How to evaluate sources and
  • How to cite your sources using MLA citation style
  • How to get help from the Library, and Librarians
