Except for designated "Group Study" areas, the majority of the first floor of the library is quiet study - in other words, this area is a "medium noise" area. For complete silence, students may use the Silent Study Room located in the far south corner of the library.
For complete silence, students may use the Silent Study Room located in the far south corner of the library. This room is devoted to silence, meaning no talking of any kind. Ask at the front desk for directions to this room or just follow the yellow footprints in the library!

Four rooms are located on the mezzanine (upstairs) in the South Reading Room. Each workspace has a dry-erase board for collaborative study. Two rooms are equipped with 32" widescreen LCD display monitors. Students can connect their laptop computers to these large displays in order to facilitate group work and watch course-related media. The display interface cable and remote can be checked out at the Front Desk. Feel free to use the rooms when they are not reserved for a group.
Located in the northeast corner not far from the Research Desk in the North Reference Area, the room includes a 40" monitor and has space for up to 8 students to watch class-related DVD's together or to practice presentations with PowerPoint or other digital media. Feel free to use the individual computer stations in the room when it is not reserved for a group.
You can use the library classroom, 7-5, for either group or individual study (including the computer workstations), when classes are not being held there. The daily schedule is posted on the door.
